Do you have a creative streak ? Carve your own design with special wax that we can supply and have it reproduced in your choice of metal, gold, silver, or bronze. Create something from $55. ? make your own wedding rings. Did you know, if you see a design you like. but different stones or Gold, jewellery designs can be ordered to your preference, or stones swapped & plated a different colour.
WHAT DOES THAT STAMP MEAN? Sterling silver may be stamped with 925. This means that the piece is 92.5% pure silver. 9ct gold jewellery may be stamped with 375 and consists of 37.5% pure gold. 18ct yellow gold which may be stamped with 750 & is 75% pure gold . Different coloured gold always has the same percentage of pure gold. e.g. 18ct white gold, 18ct yellow gold and 18ct rose gold all consist of 75% pure gold. The colour is determined by the alloying metals copper, silver, palladium, nickel, zinc, etc. These carat amounts are simply standards that have been arrived at over 100’s of years. It is possible to make alloys of gold from 1ct to 23ct with many colour possibilities i.e. green, yellow, rose, blue, purple, white. |

This is to cover the insurance risks involved in the manufacturing processes, handling, storage, theft, breakage etc, & the possible damage to ones reputation. * These Risks would normally be covered in the purchase price of the gem stone. * Many jewellers will not accept some gem stones to manufacture because of risk to reputation & financial costs Especially with high value low margin gem stones. If the stone has been purchased from questionable sources, Increased risk comes, from not really getting what you expected, such as gemstones that have had treatments that improve the look /value of a stone, some treatments may not be permanent, or render the stone fragile. Also unreliable certification that has been inaccurately done, & not including all information pertaining to what your getting, * Certificates should state- colour, clarity, carat, cut - proportions symmetry & polish, if enhancements / treatments have been performed, fluorescence if present can also be a concern ( if not known / understood & accepted these can be costly in financial, emotional & visual terms, over time ) * A diamond of the same size, colour & clarity can be as much as half the price of another if it has other poor attributes * A perceived cheap buy, may end being costly Please be advised that if you are purchasing from the Internet there are some risks involved some language & terminology issues can make things seem like they are one thing , but they are not quite so. Custom made Items we will do our best to help. # Usually an initial conversation with our staff outlining what is wanted. * & then a consultation with jeweller when required. Sketches descriptions & estimates outlining the design concepts are usual & or pictures of like items. detailed artistic sketches are not a standard feature as they are time consuming & not required. One off hand made items are a process as their are hundreds off variables, it is a process made in stages with alteration possible along the way. As a rule of thumb 9 out of ten customers are happy with the first result of a custom made item, of the one in ten left, subsequent modifications satisfy most people, so approximately 1 in 100 people end up being not entirely satisfied with custom remakes this is very difficult to prevent or fix it is simply a matter of different perceptions & expectations. Make no assumptions if you have something specific in mind you must communicate this. It is impossible to calculate & explain the exact properties of a one off finished item before it is made. Pricing thus can be done in 2 ways - 1. a fixed price we accept the risk of variables (we will benefit or lose depending on outcome ) you pay for certainty. or 2. a floating price (estimate is given perhaps a from too price, with an explanation of variables) you pay for what you get. If an item is not what you expected you need to say so it can usually be remedied Selecting an item already made is simple, you accept it as it is you are happy with or not, it is Quick & easy If you supply Gems & gold There is a 10% of the value of the items, surcharge added to the manufacturing cost, this is to cover the risks associated, with manufacturing, insurance, handling etc. Custom made items are an adventure. Patience is required, with trust & hard work are ultimately satisfying * Consultations with jeweller If needed cost $50 & will be applied as a customer credit to use as you wish. # There is a $15 service charge, which is applied as a customer credit to use as wish. These charges are to help ensure that customers are serious & to cover our costs. As any other profession charges for their time, we do, but you get this back as a credit |

Watches we will do our best to help -If a watch is brought in because it is not working, this indicates there is a fault, This is usually a battery, but there can be many other reasons. Quartz & mechanical watches both have moving parts that require cleaning adjusting & lubrication (servicing) from time to time, -mechanical & or automatic watches in general need to be wound & or worn daily for them to be accurate, variation in accuracy occurs depending on use. -service charge $15 for example if we change a battery & it fails to go, then it will still cost $15 which will be applied as a credit for you spend as you wish. Or a refused special quote -repair times vary depending on problem. Batteries, possibly while you wait - unless we are very busy, Servicing can take weeks to months -Watch batteries & pressure testing are not normally covered under any manufacturers warranty (unless purchased from hunter jewellers) -Water resistance can not be guaranteed unless pressure tested -A service on a watch movement does not automatically receive a pressure test-it is a separate operation. -Watch manufacturers recommend watches to be pressure tested every 12 months or so, seals replaced & servicing every 3 to 5 years, this is to ensure water resistance & reliable operation. -please be aware any time you pull the crown in & out you are effectively breaking the seal potentially allowing the water resistance to be compromised even after being pushed back in, foreign objects can lodge in seal & prevent proper sealing. -impacts & damage to glass can also affect water resistance. -Sudden temperature changes can cause slight misting/condensation in watches, & then goes away quickly, this is not a leak. -A Water leak in a watch forms more as droplets & or heavy condensation which in general does not go away. If in doubt have it checked. The quality of materials & manufacturing, good care & operation is how you govern reliable operation. -Magnetic fields (electric motors etc) can influence function of watches. If you ask us to carry out services all care is taken & we will attempt to advise of any issues, but some problems are not apparent until works have started. we will do our best to help Polish & Rhodium, polishing is the act of removing metal until a smooth shiny surface is achieved, Items are usually polished & cleaned before rhodium plating, the degree to which one polishes is usually at the polishers discretion, We in general avoid over polishing especially around settings, so when we polish & or re rhodium there may still be minor scuffing, scratches, slightly dull patches particularly around settings. This can be unnoticeable especially after a short time of wear.
Cleaning - we can not guarantee that stones will not come loose or fall out during cleaning process on items that where purchased elsewhere, stones can only fall out if there is a existing problem, ( what better place for them to fall out).
Some styles of setting are problematic, invisible set for example require very precise conditions, If settings become worn, bent or stressed stones can easily come out & are difficult to reset & especially if cheaply made, where stones have to be replaced & matched & particularly with small stones. it can cost more to repair than to replace the whole ring

Many gemstones are synthesized or have treatments applied to them to improve their appearance many of these are very difficult to identify, if you are aware of any such condition, it is very important that we be notified.

Standard repairs take (weeks, months) If wanted quicker & not purchased from hunter jewellers, then possibly we can do express which = + 50% on normal price & finished ASAP, WHY Extra cost? because we have to stop the normal production sequence to do this job. It Actually takes longer to do the job, 1 at a time, interrupts other work, breaks our concentration, in general it costs us more. -customers new & return, repairs & sales receive 10% as credit by default. When spending $50 & over. -Credits redeemable on sales only not services. No discounts or credits available on promotional items or discounted stock. -higher rewards are possible, we can double the standard amount if customer agrees to basic service -Basic service = cash payment only, No box or packaging, No reduced prices on services, No complimentary services, No lifetime warranty. -Lay buys & canceled orders will incur a $30 fee or the entire amount that has been paid to date as a credit.
